ملخص:
تعتبر الصحافة الرياضية واحدة من وسائل الاتصال الرئيسية التي تعتمد على الكلمة المطبوعة لنشر الآراء والأخبار وتحليلها وإعطاء المعلومات، بالإضافة إلي الترفيه والتسلية، مما يحدث أثرا في المجتمع.
وتهدف الدراسة إلى الوقوف على قدرة الصحف الرياضية في تشكيل الرأي العام الرياضي من جهة وتعزيز الاتجاهات نحو الرياضة من جهة أخرى، واستخدم في هذه الدراسة المنهج الوصفي والتحليلي والذي يناسب دراسة الظواهر الانسانية والاجتماعية، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن الصحافة بمقدورها أن تخاطب قطاعا عريضا من الجمهور، فتسهم في تكوين الرأي العام وقيادته، وتعمل على بلورة الاتجاهات نحو الرياضة وقضاياها- ذلك أن التأثير الذي تقوم به وسائل الاتصال الجماهيرية، إنما تمارسه من خلال الجماعة واتجاهاتها وقيمها وثقافتها بهدف الوصول إلى درجة ما من التوافق بين الإنسان وبيئته التي لابد أن يجد فيها عنصر الإشباع لحاجاته ورغباته.

ABSTRACT:
Sports journalism is one of the main means of communication based on the printed word for the dissemination and analysis of opinions and news, and the provision of information, in addition to entertainment and entertainment, which affects the community.
The study aims to determine the ability of the sports newspapers to shape the sports public opinion on the one hand and to promote the trends towards sport on the other. The study used a descriptive and analytical approach that fits the study of human and social phenomena. The study concluded that the press can address a broad segment of the public , Which contributes to the formation of public opinion and leadership, and works to crystallize trends towards sport and its issues – that the impact of the means of mass communication, but exercised by the group and its trends and values and culture in order to achieve some degree of compatibility between man and his environment In which he must find the element of satisfaction for his needs and desires.
